Description

Chafe-Pro  Commercial Series 8X10 is ideal for protecting a ship’s mooring lines from pier and/or chock abrasion as well as protecting lines used for towing.  The Commercial Series is constructed of multiple layers of  specially formulated  heavy-duty nylon weave. The layering technique used in the Commercial Series is designed to provide maximum flexibility and ease of application, as well as provide long chafe-resistant service.  Typical application includes use in mooring/anchoring and towing operations, as well as protection on Utility Digger Derrick winchlines

Abrasion testing has shown Chafe-Pro^®’s Commercial Series to be more resistant to chafe abrasion than marine-grade fire hose and chafing gear made from materials such as HMW-PE (polyethylene), Kevlar, etc.

The Commercial Series is available in standard and custom lengths.  These models are recommended for mooring/anchor lines and for use on towing hawsers that are used for light to moderate strain towing applications.

All models are downward compatible to line size and all dimensions are nominal.  Standard color is black.
